Owen Wilson
Owen Wilson (1968—) is an American actor, comedian and writer. He is popular for his particular brand of humor and his great sense of timing.

In 2007, Wilson was rushed to St. Johns Health Center after he attempted suicide by overdosing on drugs and then slashing his wrist. After receiving care at St. Johns and stabilizing he was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Upon arrival his condition was deemed serious and then later stable. His attorney confirmed that Owen had been undergoing treatment for depression and taking anti-depressants around the time of his suicide attempt.

Wilson has a long history of depression and substance abuse. Almost seven years ago he spent time at Hazeldon treatment facility in Minnesota.

Health tip of the day:
You might be able to avoid the H1N1 virus, regular flu and the common cold this winter by exercising every day. Exercise gives your immune system a boost, says Dr. David Nieman, director of Appalachian State University's Human Performance Lab in North Carolina. According to Dr. Neiman, two kinds of immune cells circulate more freely in the blood when you excercise, neutralizing pathogens. The effect only lasts for a few hours, but the benefits are cumulative, adding up to a generally stronger immune system. People who walked "briskly" for 45 minutes a day, at least five daysa week for 12 to 15 weeks, reduced their sick days by 25 to 50 percent compared to couch potato controls in his study.
