I was taking Acipex (the brand name) for 4 years and was very satisfied. I rarely had acid reflux while taking it. Insurance company really gave me a hard time when it came time to refill. Many phone calls back and forth between insurance company and doctor. When generic Rabeprazole came out, insurance company sent that to me. I thought I would give it a try, they said it was the same active ingredient. I have been taking it for 5 weeks now. I am bloated, i have reflux, stomach aches, and a terrible hot burning mouth. Bad dry mouth too. I don't know why this would happen if the drug has the same active medicine in it. I would love to know if anyone else has had problems with the generic version of Acipex.
